Sex Workers of Bangalore ’08

From May to September 2008 I worked with the Society for People’s Action for Development (SPAD) in Bangalore, India.  The team at SPAD are leading the way in HIV/AIDS education in the southern States of India.  They operate several projects which focus on slowing the rate of HIV/AIDS infection among India’s most vulnerable communities, including sex workers. Many thanks to all of the men, women and children who allowed me to take their portraits.  They asked me to use their images to tell their stories. For more information about the Society for People’s Action for Development (SPAD) please visit www.SPAD.in.
