This series of diptychs was shots at William Waugh Scrap Metal Ltd. in Edinburgh, Scotland. The family run company has been operating in the recycling industry since the 1850s. This series of images documents one of the oldest recycling industries. The technology of the industry may have advanced but the basic premise of recycling remains the same—collect waste, add value then sell it.
